About
I teach you songs and the correct way to play them while educating you along the way about how it all connects (simple theory). The hardest part is getting past the finger memory and being fluid with your chord transitions. The rest comes in time as long as you are consistent with practising.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I assess the students current level of ability and develop a plan to maximize the learning process and make it as pleasant as possible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had musical theory schooling but mostly self taught and ear training which to me is the best approach as you can't replicate or advance quiclky when you can't hear the musical notes being played.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard pricing using ranges between 25-30 per hr lesson
How did you get started teaching?
I started in Nashville,TN about 16 years ago as there were many students wanting to learn being it is one of the most popular areas for music.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types - both male and female - young and adults - for guitar, voice, bass and recording with Digital Audio Workstations.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have an 8 year old boy who just started guitar lessons with me and we are both very excited about it as he is a quick learner and the 1st song he wants to learn is the theme from Angry Birds lol ! He has introduced me to some current music I would have never heard in my current travels so it's a learning experience for us both.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
There needs to be patience for both the teacher and student as everyone progresses at a different rate - research their experience and abilities before hiring.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The biggest question is why do you want to learn ? To be a professional performer, teacher or for your own enjoyment. The approach is the same but if you want to be a professional performer having a teacher that has plenty of experience at it can be a wealth of helpful information of what pitfalls to avoid as you meet with others in the business.
