What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We evaluate their skills and use them to see which level of swimming they fall into.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All our teachers have lifeguard certifiates as well as go through a 90 day training session with the aquatics director.
How did you get started teaching?
Before opening British Swim School locations in the United States, Rita Goldberg was a national swimmer and dedicated swim instructor in Britain. In 1981, after working in the education system for many years, Rita opened her own private swim school in the basement of a Victorian house in Manchester, England. It was there that she began to develop the unique teaching methods that have become a recognized trademark of British Swim School. Martin Goldberg was side-by-side with his mother towards this journey.
