About

My approach to singing is rooted in creating a deep understanding of the body as our instrument. We'll start our vocal practice on yoga mats and open up our bodies before deep breathing pranayama exercises, vocal warm-ups, ear-training, and finally repertoire and artistry. In person lessons at my studio offer a relaxing environment to focus on your craft with scented oil diffusers, meditative music, and water infusions reminiscent of a spa or yoga studio. Here you'll not only learn the tools and foundations of good singing but also release stress in the mind and body. I believe singing is for everyone, not just career vocalists, and that vocal lessons can be therapeutic and helpful in living a balanced lifestyle. Release your inner wild, your personal sound, your voice that resonates throughout the universe with me at The Inner Wild Voice Studio. Kristina holds a BFA from the Boston Conservatory in Musical Theatre with an emphasis in Stage Direction. She has performed as a contemporary music vocalist in numerous professional bands for the past 11 years upon her graduation from the conservatory. Her personal teaching style is relaxed and infuses yoga and pranayama to ensure the best results in her students. She loves working with beginners and is the perfect candidate for those with interests in jazz, r&b, rock and pop vocal styles. Her lessons for students with non-professional interests can be used for mind, body and soul therapy.

I LOVE to sing and the freedom and absolute joy it brings. Singing is such a great tool for relaxation and creating confidence so it's not just for career vocalists. I believe everyone can and should learn to sing! It's fun!

I really enjoyed Kristinas teaching style. Shes relaxed and made me feel comfortable. I was nervous to take my first lessons but she broke down the basics for me and I feel much more aware of my voice and my abilities. I can definitely hear and feel a difference when I sing. I highly recommend!

I am a guitarist in New Orleans and worked with Kristina on several of her gigs when she was a main-stay on Frenchmen Street, the area of NOLA where the most jazz clubs are. Kristina is a phenomenal performer/bandleader, writes really good tunes, and brings eclectic taste and musical energy to the stage. This and her great vocal technique a product of years of experience and training at great music institutions.
Whenever I have been stuck working on vocals to sing with one of my bands or need constructive feedback, Kristina was always an obvious choice to seek out vocal help from. She is great at explaining vocal technique in a way that someone who is new to voice technique can understand. As I mentioned before, she has a lot of experience to draw from, and will help you improve your delivery and performance of the songs you are working on. If you are taking lessons at her house, she is good about creating a comfortable environment for you to be musically open and get the most out of your lesson.
Whatever your musical style/genre preference is or your current skill level, Kristina is a great choice for a vocal teacher. Her lessons and performances are missed in New Orleans!

First, I'll assess where you are in the development of your craft. This will include a short interview about your goals and experience followed by a conversation about my methods and studio policies and then a vocal warm up to allow me to get familiar with your sound.

I started my own studio as a way to share knowledge with others. So many people would come up to me and say they couldn't sing but I'm of the belief singing is for everyone. It builds community and is tribal and a staple of the human experience.

All ages and levels! Come as you are!
