Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will cover musicality and technique whilst tailoring personalized practices for the student.
I recognize that needs are diverse after working independently with new students for over 10 years now.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am classically trained from ages 3 to 15 (this means ballet, jazz, contemporary, etc.) Beginning at age 16, I routinely choreographed for musicals through Rocky Bayou Christian at the FWB Civic Center .
At age 18, I opened a dance franchise under "Evolucion Latina" a Latin dance Company based in Chicago. I received professional training in Jazz, Ballet, Salsa, Bachata, Hip Hop and Contemporary. I traveled the country performing with this company, and trained with them for the world championships, Salsa Summit.
In Chicago, I received further training in Heels dancing, Hip Hop, and other styles from various teachers, and began my own dance program for Heels in Pensacola, FL.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
How did you get started teaching?
I opened a dance franchise in Destin, FL under a Latin dance company in Chicago. Three years later, I started my own dance company, Goddess Dance Co, for solo heels and latin dancing, and continue to teach a wide variety of private lessons under Perfect Grace LLC.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with ages 5-60, men and women, those with injuries or disabilities, those who need a confidence boost, beginner to advanced, and many other varieties.
