About
My name is Emily Bishop.
My main service: Dance
I began training in ballet, contemporary, and jazz at the age of 3, and have traveled to compete and win in numerous dance competitions. I am currently the director of Evolución Latina Destin, a branch of a dance company which focuses on salsa and bachata dancing. I have choreographed and performed for numerous theatrical performances and dance team performances. I also co-lead the Pura Sabrosura Salsa Dance team at the University of West Florida.
My goal is to help students become independent and free in their dance. I primarily teach the fundamentals of Salsa and Bachata. This includes partnerwork and individual Latin body movement. Students learn about gaining confidence in themselves- they learn how to connect and express.
Secondary Services: Art, theatre and performance arts, humanities, holistic wellness.
I have a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Studio Art and Social Welfare. I began performing at the age of 5. I have worked as a principle actress, artistic director, choreographer, and director of artistic groups.
