Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a beginner, I use the decompressed tennis ball progression: red ball, orange ball, green dot ball, and finally to the fully compressed yellow ball. Beginner need time to execute and feel the stroke. The decompressed tennis balls give the opportunity to do so without feeling rushed by the speed of the regular tennis ball.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degreee in social psychology and a general diploma in sport psychology; and I am Professional Tennis Registry and Oscar Wegner MTM certified. In addition, I am a registered Cardio Tennis provider.
What types of students have you worked with?
Men and women; boys and girls; high level high school and college players; beginners to advanced tournament players; various ages and ethnic backgrounds.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It’s important that the teacher is up to date on the newest technologies in the game; the latest techniques and methodologies; and truly loves to TEACH.
