About this pro

Here at Topgolf we never have to worry about the Weather or the Sun. Here in Florida if it's not raining it is so hot and humid in the blazing heat. So we never have to reschedule our lessons ever. It is a real bummer when your lesson is at 3pm and it's pouring rain outside. Also we always include practice time with every lesson.

I love to see the look on students faces when they do something that they have never been able to do. It is my favorite part of being a golf instructor. I have been teaching golf for the last 21 years. I have been a PGA member for last 11 of those years.

My son has autism and working with John has been a blessed. He has been taking 1:1 lessons with John for almost two years and the progress is incredible, without mention the love that my son has for the sport.

I have been working with John for over a year now. Prior to working with John, I had no golf experience. Within a year he has helped me dramatically improve my game where I am hoping to compete in amateur competitions next year. He is a great instructor and I highly recommend him for golfers of all skill levels!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First we would want to find out there short/ long term goals.
Next a video swing evaluation to see where they are at now.
And after that we are gonna do all we can to help them reach there goals!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have an Associates degree in Golf complex management and instruction.
I have been a member of the PGA of America for the last ten years.
As of today have been teaching golf for the last 21years.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Individual lessons are $89/hour for adults. $59/hour for juniors.
Our lesson packages significantly reduce that individual lesson price.

How did you get started teaching?

My passion for the game of golf led me to finding my real passion was teaching my friends and then it led to making the best career choice I could ever make. By becoming a certified PGA instructor.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with students of all ages from 3 years old to 90 years old.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I was doing a playing lesson with two of my students just the other day. After nine holes I left and they continued playing. After about 45 minutes I received the coolest text and pics of the Hole-in-one. One of them made on hole number 12 a 140yard par 3. I was mad for not staying and getting to witness it firsthand!
