Hello! My name is Tamela. I teach lower level through advanced swimming lessons beginning with overcoming fear of water. Swimming lessons is a passion of mine to a health standpoint. Swimming is beneficial to people with arthritis, those who are overweight and provides a great alternative for running. Age 3 + beyound can begin swimming lessons with Tamela. I am Life Gaurd Star Gaurd certified, CPR & AED certified. I travel to you or you can travel to me. I teach year round. 

I enjoy seeing the progress that my students make lesson by lesson. My lessons are tailored to each student for the best results.

How did you get started teaching?

In 2006, I taught fellow Marines how to swim and how to relax in water. Many people are unware of this one key fact: The Key to Swimming is Total Relaxation

A young brother and sister began my swimming lessons completely horrified of water. By week 2, they were kicking and peddaling on their own. By week 4, they became intermediate swimmers. Bu weeks 8 they joined the local swim team - Savannah Ga

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Interview their experiences. Listen closely to their passion (or lack of). Thats how you find the best instructor.
