About
Sure, I can tell you my service stands out but I let my swimmers determine if my service stands out because after all they are the ones that can factually make that determination.
What I enjoy most about being a swim instructor is being in the water. Swimming has multiple aspects ranging from safety and wellness to interaction and education, and I equally enjoy each of them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process for working with a new student is to establish a level of understanding and comfort. Individuals have to understand the importance of structure; the potential danger; and have a sense of comfort to trust me enough to try a skill they are scared of.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a swimmer for 40+ yrs. I have been a Lifeguard for 20+ yrs. I have been a Lifeguard Instructor and a Water Safety Instructor for 15+ yrs. I am an EMT. Most important of all, I have taught my 4 children to swim.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching via the "natural evolution of a fond swimmer". Being a "pool rat" hanging at the public pool all day, every day. Then becoming a lifeguard and working for the "City of Atlanta". Once I started with the city I wanted to learn all I could to become a better swimmer.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a variety of students and levels ranging from special needs to advanced.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The advice I would give to someone looking to hire a teacher is to make sure the teacher is challenging the student with new skills and adding to their skill set
