Myself and my other 2 instructors are very hands on, offering personalized swim lessons for individuals, small groups, large groups, adults and children all the same. I have personally been swimming since I was 3 years old and I haven't found an excuse to get out of the water since. At the Academy we encourage swimming as not only a fun thing to learn, but consider it a survival necessity as well. All of our instructors are lifeguard certified and have years of experience so we guarantee quality service every time.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1. get comfortable with getting all the way in the water
2. learn to float
3. learn kick and arm motions
4. learn to tred water with fins
5. learn to use a kickboard with fins
6. learn to swim without kickboard with fins
7. learn to tred water without fins
8. learn to swim with kickboard without fins
9. learn to swim without assistance
these lessons wont be taught all in one lesson, and there will be alot of going back and forth between lessons. this is just a general outline of the things they will be learning

I am Lifeguard, Instructor, Management, and CPO certified through the Red Cross

I believe that swimming is a life skill and a survival skill that everyone should be able to learn! So i try to keep lessons affordable and flexable. Here are my general prices. I bundle the lessons to allow for cheaper pricing, so the more lessons you commit to at a time, the bigger discount you get!
To take my lessons, I require my swimmers to have swimming fins and goggles as well as bring a dry towl.
Children 3-12
Teens ages 13-15 are priced as adults UNLESS they are grouped with a child.

Pkg 1c: one 1 hour lesson for $30
Pkg 2c: three 1 hour lessons for $75
Pkg 3c: five 1 hour lessons for $100
2 children:
Pkg 4c: one 1.5 hour lesson for $50
Pkg 5c: three 1.5 hour lessons for $130
Pkg 6c: five 1.5 hour lessons for $175

No single lessons
Pkg 7c: four 1.5 hour lessons for $240

How did you get started teaching?
I have been a lifeguard since 2012. I began giving lessons with All star swim academy in 2014. I train and manage lifeguards for Aquatics Management, Collins Pool Management, and Clayton County Parks and Rec.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types, ages, health conditions, and personalities!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher who pushes you to your limits, believes in you when you cant believe in yourself, and can make you laugh when you feel like giving up.
