LaToya's Tennis Lessons
About
My service stands out from other coaches because I have been playing tennis for fourteen years. I learned everything about the game from my father who instilled a sleep, eat, and drink tennis attitude in my sisters and me. While playing D2 tennis in college I received the opportunity to volunteer at an afterschool program to teach young children how to play tennis. Over the four years of coaching at Reading & Requests, I learned that valuing a student's input is an effective way to coach.
I enjoy teaching tennis because of the confidence that constant praise for good tennis techniques gives to a student. Positive feedback excites me because of its ability to cause rapid skill growth. I also enjoy teaching tennis knowing that each student will learn the six basic strokes, how to keep score, proper hand placement, and the rules and regulations of the game. Well, structured, fun, and dynamic tennis lessons excite me.
