People would come up to me after performances and asked me to teach them how to sing.
Beginners to pros, voice majors to singer/songwriters, all ages, all styles, even sound healers.
Many people come for the transformational healing effect of my method and to open their throat chakra. I've had good success with Parkinson's patients. I do a lot of work with improvisational singing & vocal overtones. My "Learn Vocal Overtone Sound Healing" you tube video has almost 100K hits.
My "Sing For Your Life" class provides sing-along entertainment for the elderly. Our job is to radiate joy. When we walk into a facility the patients are sitting there like zombies - and when we leave, their eyes are shining. It's deeply fulfilling for both class and patients. Win-win.
1-You must intuitively feel TRUST for the teacher, or your Inner Artist will not come out to play.
2-Ask them who they think is a "good" singer. And then go on line and listen to that person to find out where they want to take you. If possible, listen to a recording of them singing.
Why do I sing? Why do I think I need voice lessons? What are my needs and concerns regarding my voice?
