I teach drum lessons to kids age 10 up to adults. Any skill level is welcome from complete beginner to advanced. My goal as a teacher is to help you gain a solid foundation of the essentials, technique, rudiments, hand / foot coordination, reading music and also learning by ear. Having these things as a skill set will enable you to learn any style of music you want and achieve your musical goals. I am a percussionist based in the Chicago suburbs with degrees in music education and performance. I have experience teaching students both privately and in small/large group settings both through school districts and independently. I recently earned my master's degree in percussion performance from Northern Illinois University, where I specialized in keyboard percussion and contemporary music. I have multiple years of experience teaching snare drum and drumset lessons, and have taught percussionists working on marching techniques and concert styles.
