About this pro

I am very experienced in coaching swimmers, cyclists and triathletes. I began coaching in 2005 working with a swim team. That lead to coaching at one of the premier triathlon training studios in Chicago where I have worked with over 1000 athletes over the past decade. Working with athletes from beginners to pros, youth to senior citizens, has really taught me how to work with many different types of athletes. My certifications include USA Triathlon Level 1 with a Youth and Junior certification, a USA Cycling level 2 certification, and Red Cross Life Guard/First Aid/CPR.

I love to help people get the most out of their unique talents and helping them to acheive their dreams.

Coach Ted lives up to the price. My daughter received intense technique driven instruction. Coach Ted was able to identify and correct posture with her turns to prevent her from being Dq'd during swim meets. My daughter responded well to his teaching style and looks forward to her next training session. I'm very satisfied.

OMG! Coach Ted was amazing working with my grandson. My grandson was 9 years old, living in Arizona where everyone has a pool, unable to go to birthday pool parties, and was terrified of water. During 2 visits to Chicago Coach Ted was able to het him swimming the length of the pool and enjoying it! I only wish my grandson lived in Chicago as Coach Ted would have convinced him to be on a swim team! Life changing experience after many other swim class failures

Amazing! Took a child afraid of the water and took him to the point of enjoying swimming!!!

Incredible with my 8 year old grandson. Major gains in swimming fundamentals!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First I need to know what the athletes goals are and what motivates them.

Once we meet I assess their skills and determine what they need to work on to get better.

Solving problems that may seem complex are often improved by improving the athletes fundamentals.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

USA Triathlon Level 2 Coach, Youth and Junior certified
