About

As a former Natioanlly ranked junior player, I am continuing to pursue my lifelong passion of teaching and coaching tennis. From children as young as 2, to adults up to 92, I have taught everyone from the smallest public courts to Gorgoeus Country Club arenas.

I have been playing for 20 years, since I was 8 years old and am currently working in Marketing and Business Development, as a day job. I have taught throughout high school as a vouleneer and throughout college at various special needs summer camps as well as professional tennis academies.

As a young, motivated, and more than established coach, I am excited to offer my expertise to you with 50% my first lesson. Thanks!

I love to be able to take what I have learned over the years and be able to provide a service to help others have fun and achieve their goals; hopefully having an enjoyable time while working hard!

    Frequently asked questions

When assessing your student, are you able to start from the bottom down all the way to the top. Looking at every skill including footwork, preparation, grip and the ability to alternate grips, stance, balance, movement, as well as an overall ability of what the student is looking to achieve from a personal or professional aspect. At the end of the day, your time is my time so I want to make it worth your while but we need to begin by assessing our students properly.

An experienced and certified tennis coach and professional with excellent communication skills; working with both adults and children. Effective combination of passion for coaching and personal attention to individual needs with leadership and ability to bring the best in others. Focused to provide an active and self-sustaining Tennis and Pickleball Programs through knowledge of the game, including strategy, rules and technique while possessing an effective teaching style.

In terms of standard pricing systems, as a USPTA certified tennis professional, I adhere to all of the standard rules as well as every single one of the current Covid rules as of mid to late August, 2020. Including social distancing, hand sanitizing, the details that are required in order to make sure that this is a safe and fun environment for both myself and my students at all times.

I originally grew up in the north suburbs of Chicago land and being part of a state winning tennis championship team as a varsity tennis player playing number two singles and number one doubles, followed by a time spent playing college number one doubles tennis, I have always had a lifelong passion for coaching and teaching and have spent the better part of the last two years working towards that goal.

I have worked with students of all levels and all ages. I have worked for country club's, North shore racquet club's, all the way to underprivileged and pro bono tennis lessons for groups of children in need. In addition, I have also volunteered my time to work with not only children of all special needs but of all abilities and skills sets.

Recently, I was the director of a program with well over 200 students for an outdoor program in 2020 summer. It was an incredibly successful operation and we hope to move forward from here by utilizing the skills that I have learned after a decade of coaching and over two decades of playing. One event specifically was seeing the children and asking them every day when they leave if they were having fun and getting emphatic responses such as, "YES! I did, Coach Felix!!!" Nothing else has made me more proud.

Number one: make sure to do your research and find the right coach for yourself. There are a lot of people out there who are looking to charge far too much without the proper knowledge and certification and I do not believe that is ethically correct. This is done through family as well as everybody involved in the process of getting lessons coordinated. That's why I am available 24/7 via phone/email/text in order to be able to answer any and all questions while keeping an up-to-date calendar so there are zero miscommunications which lead to less time wasted and more time on the court!
