About
I have had a love of music since I was a child and my goal is to inspire and pass that love on to each and every student I teach. While I am classically trained, I enjoy singing and teaching many different genres of music from musical theater to pop to classical to jazz. I also have a focus on music theory and sight singing within the lessons.
I love being able to see my students explore different genres of music and styles that they may have never thought to explore. I love seeing them grasp a concept and be able to run with it. I love seeing my students of all ages develop a love of music that they can keep with them forever.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I first start with a student, I send them my files for warmups (virtual lessons don't allow for accompanying due to a delay). We warm up, and then I ask a few questions to get to know them. After this, I have the student sing something for me of their choice. This allows me to hear how their voice sounds and chose an appropriate song for them to work on in lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my bachelors and masters degree in vocal performance from Northern Illinois University. Within those degrees, I have 2 years of pedigogical studies and 5 years of music theory and aural skills studies.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is $60 for a one hour lesson, $30 for a 30 minute lesson.
