Here at Lakeside Swim School we offer tailored coaching for adults and kids of all ages and abilities. Our warm pools and friendly coaches create a relaxed and comfortable environment to take your swimming to the next level. We offer the one-on-one attention that swimmers need to improve, at their own pace.
Under the instruction of our experienced coaches, you will learn new drills, refine techniques and track your progress with the aid of underwater video feedback.
Whether you are first time swimmer or seasoned triathlete, after taking lessons with us we guarantee you will be encouraged by the results you see.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We work with students to achieve their goals in a progressive and meaningful lesson. Each lesson is tailored to the needs of the students and video analysis is used to maximize value and understanding during the lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a former college and national swimmer I believe I have the experience and technical ability to help swimmers achieve the best outcomes. Whether you are a triahlete, age group competitive swimmer or an adult just starting out in the water, I will be able to guide you through the challenges you face and reach the most desirable and effective swimming technique. I am a Total Immersion Certified instructor as well as a trained lifeguard and water safety instructor

How did you get started teaching?
After being a competitive swimmer for 20 years I moved into coaching and have loved it ever since. I have taught over 5000 people to swim since I began my coaching career and hope to teach many more.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages and skill levels from beginner children and adults to advanced triathletes and competitive swimmers
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am very fond of open water swimming, the most recent being the ALS open water charity swim in Winnetka, IL. I swam with one of my students who was at the time the youngest swimmer at the event at only 10 years of age
