Making my Spanish students think and speak well in the first ten sessions of Spanish.

Hello there! My name is Marcelo, I am from São Paulo, Brazil, and have taught languages since 2000. I started teaching Spanish at companies in Brazil, and then in 2004, I moved to Chicago. There I started teaching Spanish but soon more and more students requested Portuguese classes. Two years later I opened a language school dedicated entirely to Portuguese. I have been teaching languages (Portuguese, Spanish, and English) online since 2014. My method is conversational and intercultural. The students do learn vocabulary and grammar, but the time in class is used for the students to talk as much as possible.

I am bilingual. I currently possess a Master's degree. I speak both Spanish and English. I have taught Spanish as a second language to junior students. I possess a certificate in Spanish as a second language. I also have three years teaching Spanish at high school level. Currently, I remain a teacher at a high school, however, in a different subject area. I have five years teaching experience and about 14 years as a tutor.

I am an alumni of Loyola University Chicago and got two bachelor's degrees in Spanish Language and Global and International Studies! I am passionate about the Spanish language and I love being able to tutor and help out younger students who need assistance with exploring the language and truly learning to love Spanish and all it has to offer. I am passionate about teaching the benefits of being bilingual, especially in such a globalized world. I would love to tutor you!!

We are located near the region of Oak Brook but that shouldn’t stop you from taking our online Spanish course. We have students from all over the country and are willing to accommodate our schedule to your needs whatever they might be. But if you do happen to live near the Oak Brook area we are more than willing to travel with safety precautions to a designated area. So if you are in the area then give us a quick call and we will definitely arrange something out if you prefer the in person learning otherwise we would be more than happy to virtually conduct our Spanish classes.
