About

My teaching is student-centered and relies heavily on your feedback. I usually end class with something we did well and something we can improve.

My TESL training came from a Harvard-affiliated organization which instructs the Five Step Lesson Plan: 1) Warm Up 2) Intro to New Material 3) Practice Together 4) Individual Practice 5) Conclusion. If I'm not utilizing this simple and very effective format, the lesson is a conservation in which I make corrections at the end.

Before teaching English, I worked with youth, adults and parents teaching public health with Planned Parenthood.

I love teaching languages, but grammar is my *thang.* I scored summa cum laude on the National Latin Exam. I also proofread and edit, so please don't find any ¡errores de tipeos!

I am also a student of languages! Therefore I understand the ups and downs of learning and know the importance fun plays in the process of acquiring knowledge. (But we cannot forget the blood 🩸 sweat 😥 and tears 😭 involved.)
