My wife and I have both been taking lessons with Gabe. Our singing levels are Radically different, the Gabe has been terrific for both of us. He is flexible and accommodatingAnd the lessons have been enjoyable and effective.

He tailors the lessons to the strength and weaknesses of the student. He could teach anyone of any age. The time just flies by. Pursuing a new dream at age 68, I am taken seriously. I am not too old; it is not too late. His rates are fair and there is no pressure to buy a “package.” You can go as often or infrequently as you can afford. If you’ve ever thought about voice lessons, call Gabe. He will put you at ease and you will have a new adventure.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

For beginning students, we start by discussing your goals: do you sing for fun or do you have more far-reaching plans/dreams? From there, we move on to the foundations of healthy vocal technique: breathing, support, tone production, and more. Then we start to make music!

For more advanced students, we discuss you goals and make a plan to achieve them.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

18+ years of professional performance experience; 20+ years of private voice study and coaching with world-class artists, teachers, and coaches; 12 years of teaching experience, including college-level; Ph.D., two Master's degrees, and  a Bachelor's degree in music. Please visit my website for more information including my full resume and curriculum vitae.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Most of my students pay per lesson, though you may purchase lessons in advance if you like. E-mail me directly for current pricing and package deals.

How did you get started teaching?

I was invited to teach at an area college by the head of vocal studies there. It worked out well and I began my own studio.

What types of students have you worked with?

All kinds: beginners to advanced, kids to seniors, musical theater singers, classical singers, jazz singers, pop singers, rock singers, folk singers, singers who just want to try a range of different styles.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Don't be afraid to try different teachers to find the right fit  for you. Look for a teacher with extensive experience and outstanding credentials, whose personality and style make you feel confident and energized. And don't be shy!

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What do you want to get out of voice lessons or coachings?

What are your goals?

How much are you willing to put into voice lessons/coachings?
