I am a professional actor in the Boston/Cambridge/Somerville area with extensive teaching experience for performers at every level. A graduate of Harvard's Institute for Advanced Theater Training and the Moscow Art Theater School, I hold a master's degree in acting. I teach a variety of approaches, depending on the student's level, their individual needs, and their preferred platform (film, stage). Most of all, I'm interested in meeting students where they are to help them achieve their goals--whether it be preparing for a big audition, coaching through a show, or learning the craft from the ground up. I have taught voice and speech at Harvard College, script analysis at Newark Academy High School, and stage acting in South America as a Fulbright scholar. My stage credits include productions at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, HERE Arts Center in New York, and the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans. I am a certified fight choreographer in hand-to-hand combat, a trained singer and dancer, and fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
I love watching my students find a personal connection to the work, whether it be a character in a scene, a monologue, a song, or a piece of movement. My job is to carefully provide tools, drills, and feedback to the student actor so that they may make their own discoveries in performance. I urge my students to take themselves out of their comfort zone as an actor, to engage deeply with their script or source material, and make brave choices.
