I approach my classes Acting for Film and Stage from the perspective of both an actor and a teacher, having worked on stage and in film as an actor for several decades, as well as teaching classes in both at Boston Casting, Wheelock/B.U. Theatre Dept., at several theatres on Cape Ann, and private coaching. I work with each student individually as each person learns in their own way and time. Students work on both monologues and scenes, and feedback includes taping with TV monitor so tha they can visibally see their work, make adjustments, etc. I have been recognized in my career winning one of the first Norton Awards given to a local actor, as well as an IRNE, and special recognition for Teaching - and have founded/managed 4 theatres in which I produced, directed and performed. I also teach Playwriting, and have 3 published short plays. I love working with actors and watching their progress and individual journeys in this wonderful career.
