Frequently asked questions

I believe the best way to start learning about singing is to begin by learning how to sing music that you truly enjoy. If I were your teacher, I'd ask you what you like to listen to and what you are interested in learning how to sing. Should you not know where to start, I'd be happy to find something/direct you towards something that'll pique your interest. We'll do everything by ear in the beginning - me demonstrating and you echoing. Both vocal technique and music reading skills can easily be enforced through any kind of music!

I am in my fourth year of earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with Performance Honors in Voice at Syracuse University. As part of my course of study, I’ve taken four private instruction on my instrument, ensemble experience, and four levels of music theory, history, and ear training. I also have received training in instructional design and student adaptation. I’ve gained teaching experience observing/assisting in both public and private schools in the US and in France. I’ve also taught harmony and vocal technique as a music director in multiple award-winning theatrical productions.
