Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Conversing with the student and finding out if they ever played tennis before. If they never played the sports, I would teach them how to hold the racquet and which grip style they prefer. In grip style there’s: The Westem grip, Extreme western, The Eastern grip, these grips are for the forehand grip. So we would have some drills where I teach them the forehand shot. We will work on the forehand for awhile until the student understands it. Then we move to the backhand, would the student want to have a one handed backhand, or the double handed backhand. The student will be taught how to volley, serve, overhead smash. Various drills will be done with the instructor. As the progress and understand the fundamentals of the game they will be playing one on one with the coach.
