The Voice Studio Of Christina White
About
I tailor my lessons to match each student's abilities, progress, and needs. My approach establishes a solid foundation of breath, body alignment, and vocal technique giving my students the tools and experience needed to be successful in their chosen style(s) of music.
I love music. I have been performing since my early teens and went pro over 20 years ago. I've been teaching for over a decade. I love sharing my music and knowledge with others.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I spend time during our first meeting getting to know the student and their goals. Using simple vocal exercises, I get a sense of student's current situation vocally. I assign repertoire to work specific areas of the voice. If the student has music that they want or need to work on, I incorporate it into the lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Private study with a top coach who not only coached me as a singer, but also taught me how to teach. I hold a Masters Certificate from Berklee School of Music and I am working towards a vocal pedagogy certificate through Westminster Choir College/Rider University. In addition, I am an active member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) and MMEA (Massachussetts Music Educators Association) where I regularly receive continuing education. I am also a past member of the ACDA (American Choral Directors Association).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are typically an hour long. Students may pay by the lesson or pay for a full month to receive a discount. The hourly rate is set based on length of engagement and requirements.
How did you get started teaching?
My coach was retiring and saw potential in me as a teacher. We spent the last couple of years together working on my voice and coaching my performances as well as training me to teach other singers. Since then, I've grown my part time studio and have moved into choral directing as well -- adult and children's choirs.
What types of students have you worked with?
My students range in age from pre-teen to senior citizens. I work with anyone who wants to sing: choral singers of all ages, soloists (professional and amateur), musical theater participants, band singers, teens auditioning for college, and more.
