Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I begin to work with a new student, I start by asking about his or her prior knowledge and experience. I also learn what the student is looking for, and develope specific goals and class expectations.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.F.A. in Film and Drama, and an M.F.A. in Film Directing. I have been teaching aspects of acting and filmmaking in both the Los Angeles and Boston areas. I also teach music to students with special needs.
How did you get started teaching?
After I finished graduate school, I moved to the Boston area, and immediately took the theater teacher licensing exam. Teaching theater and film has always been my goal.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from ages 6-96, including people who are neuro-typical and people with cognitive disabilities.
