Neoteric Dance Collaborative
About
NEO approaches dance education differently. You can learn how to dance almost anywhere, but at NEO, we also teach the who, what, where, when and why. Who are the choreographers behind the masterpieces and different techniques? What are the core ideas? Where in the world did they make their work? When in history was the work made and why was it relevent in that time? We believe that teaching dance through the lens of dance history will build a greater sense of appreciation, understanding and longevity for the art form. We aim to embed history into the content of every class and we deliver exclusive additional online learning resources to your e-mail inbox.
A little bit about me: Hi! I'm Sarah. I'm NEO's artistic director and a former Boston Ballet dance educator. I also hold three certifications to teach Giordano jazz technique from the Nan Giordano Certification Program. In addition to teaching these classes, I've taught courses in dance history, modern dance, choreography and composition, site specific dance and inclusive movement for people with disabilities.
