About

I have been a professional union actor for more than 30 years. I have extensive credits in theater, film, television, commercials, and improvisation. I have done just about everything having to do with acting. And I have the skills as a teacher to pass on what I've learned to interested, motivated students.

Acting is something that brings me incredible joy. Yes, sometimes there are nerves as well. But, that makes it even more thrilling.

I love doing live theater. I enjoy the immediacy of an audience; they become participants in the process. I adore improvisation, because it adds a level of difficulty to that immediacy of a live audience. You have to think on your feet, and accept all of the offers from your scene partner to build something together.

Yet in the last few years, most of my work has been in film and television, as well as commercials. Those I enjoy because I must perform perfectly in the moment. On a production, there are 20 or more people who are surrounding you come out running the cameras and the lights and everything else. When the moment comes for the actor to do their thing, they must hit their mark, say their lines, and deliver a moment. And be able to keep delivering that moment, or to make subtle adjustments. To be able to be firm and yet flexible. That's a skill that's hard to master, but it is quite possible to do so.

When I'm acting it's when I feel most alive.

    Frequently asked questions

I will always discuss the focus/needs of any potential student. I look at every teaching experience as a learning experience, for the student and for myself. My range of experience (stage, film, TV, commercial, improvisation, interactive, theme park) is wide and deep. I seek to share my experience, to find out what area(s) my students want to focus on, and how we can work together to advance the students' goals.

I have been a professional actor for more than 30 years. A member of Actor's Equity and SAG-AFTRA.  I have worked at Orlando Shakespeare theater, Florida repertory theater, Disney World, Universal studios, Mad Cow theater in Orlando, and many others.  I have been on numerous television shows as a principal actor. I have done many commercials, including national commercials. I have appeared in a number of independent films, including a student film that won the student Oscar and Emmy for the Southeast region. And I have worked in feature films, including the film "Free Guy," starring Ryan Reynolds and directed by Shawn Levy.  I also have been a professional improviser for the past 30 years. Improve is an amazing skill that can help inform and enhance what an actor is able to do. It allows you to bring spontaneity to any script, which is what directors and producers are looking for.

I price depending on the kind of training necessary, as well as the needs of the student. I also base it on how far I would need to travel for classes. I can teach improvisation, theatrical interpretation,  Is camera technique and etiquette on a set. I slso coach for auditions.

I have always enjoyed teaching. I feel that I've accumulated knowledge that is valuable for others who want to enjoy acting or pursue a profession in it. It also keeps my acting fresh, because I found that when you teach something you have to learn it anew. And so it helps me grow as an actor, while I help others grow their skills .

I have worked with beginner's. I have worked with moderately advanced actors. And I have worked with very advanced actors. I am able to adjust my teaching method to the skill and experience of the actor.

I had a pretty amazing time working on the film "Free Guy." It's a major feature film starring Ryan Reynolds and directed by Shawn Levy. It was produced by 20th Century and released by Disney in the Summer of 2021. It was filmed in 2019, but was delayed three times because of COVID. it's an action comedy with a clever script and a lot of heart. I have a really wonderful role, and it was such a pleasure to work on a set with professionals who were so giving and kind. That's not always the case. It was a chance for me to really enjoy doing what I think I do best.
