Minka V. says, "Brian goes above and beyond with his guidance. As an adult drum learner, I was hesitant to find a teacher that would take my other musical background into account while still being patient with a new instrument. Brian speaks my language and always has the right combination of encouragement and suggestions for improvements. Working in a zoom environment also has challenges and Brian is willing to spend the time to sort out how to have the best remote experience possible. He puts together very helpful videos playing songs I've requested with comments and insights into the rhythms. Highly recommend." Read more

  • What should I bring to our lessons?
  • How many types of drum music can you teach me?

Reviews for Salem drum lessons

Recent success stories from people in the Salem area.
John B.
I am a 74 year old drummer who took lessons in high school and never played for 50 years until 3 years ago. Even though it instantly came back to me I felt that something was missing. When I contacted Tony on the first lesson he asked me what I would like to accomplish if he were to teach me. I asked him to start with the basics as though I had never played before. He did, he not only had me doing basic rudiments he coached me on bringing my confidence level up, taught me how to tune my drums properly, and to this date im playing with much more confidence and my playing ability has greatly improved because of Tony's ability to teach and recognize my playing problems. Even though I now play in a band I will be staying with tony for drum lessons and I highly recommend him to anyone who is either a beginner or accomplished drummer. He's great and his personalty and demeanor is that of a professional.

I am 10 years old and I think Mr. Brian is and encouraging person who is not impatient if you make a mistake. He tells me to feel comfortable with saying that he may be glitchy or if he does not make sense. He sends worksheets that makes practicing very fun. He is super nice and extremely open and I really like my lessons with him.
