FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Every lesson is private and I work at the student's pace. I talk to the student, or the student's family, prior to lessons to understand any current skill or issues and anxieties. We take each skill one step at a time and repeat skills to ensure the student gains confidence.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

American Red Cross WSI Certified

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I teach by sessions. A session of 7 30-minute lessons cost $255. I also teach individual lessons at $40 per lesson.

How did you get started teaching?

I love to swim and I love to help others swim. May people are scared of the water. I want to help as many people to get over these anxiety as possible.

What types of students have you worked with?

students of all ages and abilities. I have worked with students 3-83 years old.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

It's always amazing when a student tries something he/she thought they couldn't do. When they realize they can do it, they are so proud. I create safe environments to help students try new skills.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Talk to the teacher. Have a level of confort with the teacher. Then trust the teacher to help you.
