Dance Lessons By Flora
About
I have been dancing my whole life and am finally able to express my love for dance through teaching what I love about it to others. I will push you to the best of your ability and will be able to give you advice and share my experiences fresh out of the dance world while creating a safe and fun environment. I am currently teaching and choreographing all styles of dance at 3 different dance studios, have been competing my whole life and have won multiple high score awards and choreography awards from my dancing and choreography. Some of my greates achievements was winning first place at YAGP 2 years in a row, placing first at Radix with my choreography as well as core performer winner, won National title for headliners dance competition, received breakout artist winner and top 3 for my choreography at NUVO. I have trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz, pointe, lyrical, tap, hip hop, and modern.

How did you get started teaching?
While competing my whole life I've assisted many classes and soaked up many tips and things to know when it comes teaching. I've done many student choreography pieces and have won high scores for all of them. Through posting my resume 3 many dance studios have reached out to me looking to work with me and I narrowed it down to 3 studios which I am currently teaching and choreographing for now.
What types of students have you worked with?
Beginner, intermidiate, and advanced dancers from ages 6-17.

Choreographing dances for this upcoming season.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the teacher matches what you are looking for. Make sure the person has lots of experience with what you are looking to learn so you know you can get the most out of it. Trust your gut and go for it!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Where they are ranked ability wise, things they are looking to improve, learn, and work on. Any questions they have for the teacher, or any advice questions they have for the teacher. Don't be afraid to ask questions!
