Myler Music Studio
About
I really enjoy helping people progress, not just with their singing ability and skills, but with their confidence. Singing can be such a personal thing, even a dream for some. I help singers realize the most meaningful way for them to communicate through music.
I bring lots of experience into a working relationship. I received my degree in vocal performance from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam in 2012. Since then, I have participated in church music, community theater, and giving and receiving lessons.
I particularly enjoy working with older students. If you've always wanted to sing, want to get back into it, or have been nervous about your singing voice, I want to help you achieve your goals! Whether students are in high school, college, or middle age, I love the moment they realize they have something to communicate.
Through a bit of performance psychology, music theory, and lots of experience, I love to help my students get to where they're going.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first lesson involves a bit more talking than normal. Since any new goal requires a "why", we talk about why you're interested in singing and what you hope to accomplish with your skills. If you can't read music yet, we'll work on that at the same time as getting a feel for proper music technique with warm up exercises. We'll end each lesson working on a song you love and have always wanted to learn.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have fifteen years' experience taking music lessons. I also have a bachelor's in vocal performance.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $25 per 45 minute lesson. If you'd like to do longer or shorter lessons, let me know and we can chat!
