About

Navy's is all about serving meals that bring people closer together. Our goal is to bring people together around the table to share a meal that feeds the soul.

The look on a persons face when they've eaten something so good they can't put it into words what they are experiencing. That expression fuels me.

I liked how easy going, relaxed, and fun it was from start to finish. She really went out of her way to make our party feel special. She’s timely, professional, and well prepared. The food, whoa the food! It’s like a taste of home combined with new trend combined with love, soul, and warmth all in one bite. Navy’s Home Style Catering is my number one favorite that I would use again and again and again.

The food and experience created by Navy’s Home Style Catering is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. It’s abundantly clear that there is a great deal of care and put into every dish. You won’t regret choosing Navy’s.

Genae is a phenomenal person and magician in the kitchen! She transforms dishes into more than just a meal but an unforgettable experience. Shes also an incredible teacher. I will never forget a batch of honey biscuits that she prepared. I think I ate the most and I was not ashamed at all. I asked her to teach me how to make them, which I thought would be a miracle because I am the worst at making biscuits; you can ask my husband. (Plus Im not all that great in the kitchen, but I knew I needed to learn the recipe since I move a lot and dont think I could take her with me.) I was pretty nervous and worried that I would make the same mistakes as I did when I tried to make homemade biscuits, which I affectionately call brick-scuits (shame).
Nope! Genae walked me through each step, guiding me along with patience and excitement of a teacher who delights in her students success. Im happy to say that I not only made a successful batch of biscuits a la Genae, I also learned a few key cooking techniques that will help me execute my next meal with confidence. Thank you Genae!!

Frequently asked questions

First, we discuss food preferences, allergies, and skill level. Once I have an idea of those three areas, we determine if the teaching session will be one on one or a group class. I will then offer some menu options and once the menu is chosen we will select a date for the class.

I was taught how to cook by my great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother. Everything that I know is self-taught. I worked in education for over 5 years, which is where I began teaching children how to cook.
