I am passionate about the safety and importance of learning how to swim. I have had the pleasure of teaching hundreds of students over the past 16 years, ranging from 6 months to 90 years of age. I currently coordinate all of Columbia Assocation's swim lesson programs. We are recognized by USA Swimming's Make a Splash Program and our swim lessons feed into one of the largest competitive Maryland swim teams, Columbia Clippers and our friendly neighborhood swim league as well.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I ask that a new student would first describe their goals for the lessons. We would do an evaluation in the beginning of the first lesson and create a curriculum appropriate to the goals and current skill level. Our group classes are broken down into skill levels and have set goals and skills that have been previously defined.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science from Towson Univeristy for Biology: Funcational Biology of Animals. I am also an Ellis & Associates certified lifeguard instructor. I have been teaching swim lessons for 16 years, and coordinating the swim program for the last 7 years, including developing and creating training sessions.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing varies based on the type and length of the lesson and if you have a membership to our facilities.
What types of students have you worked with?
Beginners to advanced, 6 months to 90 years of age.
