About

Hi everyone!

I am an 18 year old swim instructor who has taught many swim lessons including both group lessons and private lessons, so I am open to doing either of those options!

I am lifeguard/CPR certified and have recently renewed my certifications since I have held them for three years.

I worked full time this summer teaching swim lessons nine hours a day, five days a week to kids as young as 4 through teenagers. I worked with the American Red Cross swim standards and have worked with their system of progressing in swim levels.

I teach all four strokes of swim, basic diving (at a SWIM team level, not diving team level), I have also taught treading water techniques, under waters, and maintaining speed while swimming, and how to extentuate your stroke.

I have swam competively for seven years, so I can teach a kid who wants to get on a swim team level, or a young kid who needs to learn water comfortablity/water safety. I will teach any age, any level of swimmer, and any swim techniques besides just learning the strokes that one would want to learn.

I love swimming, I love the water, and I love working with people and kids! I love my job because I get to have fun in the water while helping people improve their confidence in their swimming abilities!

Anyone can achieve their swimming goals, whether they are a four year old who is scared to dip their chin in the water, a teenager who wants to work on their breaststroke, or someone who just wants to learn the basics of water safety (water treading and basic freestyle)! I am passionate about swimming and believe it is the best form of exercise as it relaxes your brain and stretches your body.

Let me know if you are interested in swim lessons, both group or private lessons! I have done both and open to anything!

My number is 301-706-0006, feel free to reach out with any questions!

    Frequently asked questions

Talk about their goals, they're schedule, what swimming abilities they are entering with and what swimming abilities they are planning on finishing lessons with. Based on this we can make a schedule and plan to get them on track to accomplishing their goals!!

I have taught many swim lessons at a summer camp where I worked nine hours a day everyday of the week, and I have taught group lessons and private lessons! I have also been lifeguard/cpr certified for over three years and have worked around a pool since I was 15! I swam competively for seven years as well!

I am open to anything- let's work it out together!

I took a job at a summer camp teaching swim lessons to kids of all ages!

I have worked with children as young as 4 where we worked on water safety and getting comfortable in the water. I have started with some kids who were learning to dip their heads under water, and then we built our way up to kicking around. On the flip side, I have worked with teens who are learning all four strokes and proper diving technique into their swims. And anywhere in between I have worked with.

    Find someone you trust.

Whether the swim lesson is for yourself or your kid, make sure you and your child are comfortable with the instructor. If you or your child are hesitant around the instructor, then it will be very difficult to do your best in the water. Especially if you are a new swimmer, swimming can be very scary and vulnerable for you, so make sure your instructor is understanding of this and kind to you and your child every step of the way.

What are your goals? Have a general idea of your strengths and weaknesses in the water.

But, honestly, that's it. Ask your teacher anything that's what they're there for. You can ask them what they think is important for you to learn in your swimming goals, and you can ask them any questions honestly.
