About
I provide a unique service to individuals who want to sing, but not sure they can. My lessons are tailored to meets the needs of every person, and no two lessons are alike. I am also an accomplished pianist and can play most music easily. I have worked with seasoned professionals, emerging artists and enthusiastic beginners. All ages above 17 are welcome, especially those 55 and older. My group class is called “The Joy of Singing.’ See my profile on Facebook.
I love watching people as they realize that, yes, they can sing, or they can hit that note or that they can bring a text to life. I love figuring out what a person needs, and then helping them find it and helping them discover their own true voice. I also love playing for singers both in studio and in public.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first lesson/interview is free. We get acquainted, do a little singing and a little technical work. The first session is generally between 30 and 40 minutes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 40 years of experience working with voices of all kinds. I have worked at universities and opera companies all over the country, in addition to running my private studio. I have degrees from California State University at Los Angeles and have studied abroad. I mentored with two master teachers for many years, and have studied both vocal pedagogy and anatomy.
