North Star Boys' Choir
About
North Star Boys' Choir, based in Osseo and Maple Grove, Minnesota, is a premier American boys' choir dedicated to training boys aged 5-15 in the European tradition. The choir not only fosters musical excellence but also instills values such as respect, honor and perseverance.
Francis Stockwell, born in New Zealand, is the Artistic Director of the North Star Boys ' Choir. He holds concert diplomas for piano front the Royal Schools of Music, London and the Trinity College of Music, London. He studied singing in Vienna and worked with the Vienna Boys Choir. He teachers a special technique of body breathing and using the body as a musical instrument. Through this method the North Star Choirboys have won many awards and competitions.
