Unlike most teachers that take on any/all students, I limit my roster to adult voices and generally have 12 students at any given time. Michele and her lessons are fantastic! In the recent past, I was extremely shy about even trying to sing let alone singing in front of another person. Even virtually, Michele creates an environment in which I can feel comfortable and safe to sing, sing, sing away. Michele is an excellent, skillful teacher and, as a bonus, shes such a warm person who makes learning and singing extra fun. I started out without any training and thinking my voice probably needed a lot of work. I now see, with great instruction from Michele and enough practice, I can reach my singing goals. Some of the skills Im building through singing with Michele have also helped enhance skills in other areas of my life (using my voice more in general, work presentations and meetings, body and breathing awareness, etc.). Highly recommend!

How did you get started teaching?

A native New Yorker, I grew up singing with my brother and sister in one of the first Catholic gospel choirs in the nation. I also sang in the performing arts program of my high school.

What types of students have you worked with?

My curriculum is centered around working with adult voices.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I love hosting and attending my student showcase events. For these events, I rent a venue, hire a band and sound engineer and students invite their family and fans. I especially love seeing singers who thought it might be too late to start singing begin a new vocal chapter!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

The right teacher/mentor pushes you to grow continuously; beyond what you think is possible. The right teacher/mentor has wisdom and information to share from inside the music industry. The right teacher/mentor genuinely cares about you as a person.

I teach so that I can be that life-changing mentor for my students, giving them that missing link for success.
