Play Smart...Play Hard...Have Fun

Play Smart...Play Hard...Have Fun

5.0 1 Review
I have had a life-long passion for the game of tennis and have been playing for about 30 years and coaching/instructing for about 10 years. I have two years' experience as an assistant coach for a middle school boys tennis team and four years' experience as head coach of both the boys and girls middle school tennis programs. If my learners are beginners, I will teach them the life-long sport of tennis; if my learners are more advanced, I will prepare them to succeed at the next level. Although I have high expectations, I am patient and personable and I am able to differentiate my instructional techniques based on the ever-changing skills and ... View Profile

Tennis Lessons From A Collegiate Player

Hi! I just recently finished 4 years of playing division 1 tennis at Weber State University in Utah. I have taught at several tennis camps over the last 5 summers including the Nike Tennis Camp at Fountain Valley. When I teach tennis lessons I like to focus on realistic goals and tips for players based off of their game, I believe that every tennis player has their own unique swing that will work for them but everyone always has room for improvement. My main goal is to make tennis a game my students will have f ... View Profile

Rzader's Lessons

Rzader's Lessons

A lot of my coaching focused on rhythm and timing one favorite drills that I used is having students raise and lower their body in sequence with the ball as it approached them. I also had my students work a lot on footwork drills. Footwork is so important from beginner to expert I saw a lot of bad footwork. My second favorite drill I used was feeding student balls and having the them step into all their shots moving in on shots and using their forward momentum when hitting both Forehands and backhands. ... Minneapolis Tennis Lessons

There are many reasons why Minneapolis is considered a great city. What it has to offer overall is simply amazing, and there is something for everyone. It is an area where there are lakes all around, and the surroundings are astonishing. There are many museums, malls, and restaurants. The architecture in the city is breathtaking. However, this town is a special place for all tennis lovers, and players who would like to improve their game, and be even better. The Minneapolis Parks& Recreation Board has provided an excellent opportunity for all those who are interested. Tennis lessons in the parks are a great chance for players to improve their skills and meet new people. Moreover, there are many great tennis centers and clubs dedicated to this sport, which are amazing, such as: Reed Sweatt Family Tennis Center, Public Indoor Tennis Center, Baseline Tennis Center, and many others.

The Reed Sweatt Family Tennis Center has a very rich offer for kids, and adults. Private and group lessons are available, as well as the ability to participate in the tournaments. This tennis club has a very long, and very rich history, and it is one of the most popular tennis centers in Minneapolis. The Reed Sweatt Family Tennis Center has 11 indoor courts, and the Pro Shop is included in the facility. The friendly staff is always around to offer the necessary assistance if needed, and to make the player’s experience extremely enjoyable.

The Public Indoor Tennis Center is another amazing place for all tennis students. There are all kinds of programs offered for juniors, adults, beginners, and experienced players. There is a Pro Shop included in the facility, and each student will get lessons and valuable advice from the best tennis coaches in the area.

The Baseline Tennis Center is one of the most popular ones in Minneapolis. There are special junior and adult programs, leagues, and summer camps as well. The facility has ten indoor courts, and twelve outdoor courts. The surface of the courts is a bit softer, which prevents many kinds of injuries of players during the lessons. Since 2002, when the Baseline Tennis Center opened its doors, many players have gone through it, and all of them were extremely satisfied with the approach of the center, staff service, and of course, the lessons. This tennis facility is considered as one of the elite ones. Moreover, the Baseline Tennis Center was awarded several times, and one of the awards was the USTA Award in 2009. There are many events organized by this tennis center, and also tournaments. For every tennis player, this center is the right place to be, because the overall experience is of the highest possible level, and everything is dedicated to this most beautiful sport.

Finding a great place for tennis lessons in Minneapolis is not such a complicated task. Aside from the listed tennis centers, there are many others as well, and all of them provide excellent programs for juniors and adults. In Minneapolis, every tennis player will easily find a center that is considered perfect.
