Djembe, Conga , And Drum Set Lessons

About

All of my Life, I enjoy learning and sharing to Connections of Rhtymic Traditins and Styles, from around the World, and finding their Common Roots that go back to Africa, the Motherland of it all . . . Seeing how these same rhythms diversify and manifest everywhere, while still maintaining their Common African Roots . . . Yet, even in Africa, as with the Diaspora, around the World, Each Community, has their own Swing and way of doing things . . . Just as Every Snowflake manifests into a Star of David patter, at it's core . . . Yet Each and Every Snoke flake is Unique Unto itself . . . !

(-;

Moreover,

. . . I find that Rhythms are like People . . .

. . . The nore time you spend with them, the more you get to know them . . .

Music is a Language, and it's Greatest Purpose is to "Bring People Together, make people Happy, and to Celebrate Life" , as my teacher, the late great Fode` Bangoura would say.

In our sessions, I really enjoy working the Drum Set with the Djembes and Congas, to creat a Fullnes of Groove Pocket and Melody . . . Learning Music by Playing Music is my favourite way . . . the way my Djembe teacher taught me . . . Yet , Wriiting for record keeping, composing and arranging is also valuable . . . Yet the most important thing is to Experience the Music in Real Time . . . ! . . . :-)

(-;

. . . Like an old African Proverb says,

"If You can Talk, You can Sing, and if You can Walk , You can Dance" . . . Now add to that , "If You can Sing it You can Play It."

So, Singing the Rhytmic Melodies, and then Playing them, is also part of what we do.

Happy Drumming,

Brian
