About
I have been teaching for a few years now, since 2012. I finished my conservatory studies in Paraguay in 2012, and now I am finishing my master's degree in classical guitar Performance at UMKC. I also enjoy teaching the fundamentals of music theory.
I participated in some competitions back home and won the 2nd prize for Guitar solo category and an honorable mention for Chamber music category.
I performed in many recitals as a soloist, as a collaborator with singers and instrumentalists, and as part of different ensembles. Among these performances, I have performed for the Kansas City Guitar Society as part of the Casual Concert Series.
I love to see the progress of my students, and I enjoy helping them with that.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First of all, we would start by figuring out the most comfortable position for the student when sitting with the guitar. Then, depending on the level of the student, we would continue with basic theory review, and choose some guitar techniques to start with. From then on, we would start choosing repertoire.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've studied at a conservatory during elementary school through high school, and I received a master's degree at the UMKC Conservatory.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Private lessons can be in-person or online.
Lessons will be charged by half an hour or by the hour.
Payment could be via cash, check, or paypal on the day of each lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I graduated from high school during my last year at the conservatory as part of an internship (guitar, music theory, ear training, sight-singing). When the internship was over, I started giving private lessons.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with children from 6 years old to teenagers up to 20 years old.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Two years ago I was part of Pu Rory Ensemble in Paraguay. With this experience, I realized that someday I would love to put together my own ensemble.
Recently, I have performed for the Kansas City Guitar Society in different opportunities.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
First, make sure what type of music you want to play: classical or popular. An insight of both would be given anyways, but just make sure the teacher you are hiring would teach you what you are expecting.
