About
I have extensive experience in learning and teaching languages. I have been a full-time professional teacher of Spanish and French for 9 years. I hold a Masters Degree in French with a Graduate Minor in Spanish and a research focus on language acquisition and teaching methods.
I specialize in teaching methods that help students increase their listening and reading comprehnsion and, through conversational activities, help students express themselves through spoken and written language. I am also very experienced in teaching pronunciation and phonetics, and I have a clear, native-like accent that is helpful for students learning to understand and speak the language.
I am a linguist and life-long learner of languages. Through study, reading, conversation, and travel I have reached full fluency in Spanish and French. I also have an intermediate level of profiency in both Italian and Portuguese. I love sharing my expertise in languages with anyone who wants to learn!

Find someone you won't mind conversing with regularly, because language learning is centered around communication.
Choose someone who is flexible in their methods and content to teach you what is most important and interesting to you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
It would be helpful to let your teacher know what your biggest priorities are in learning the language (daily communication, travel, work-related, pleasure).
It is also helpful for the teacher to know some of your interests in order to personalize the content of the lessons (music, film, travel, history, TV shows, really anything).
