Lina is a wonderful instructor who clearly enjoys the teaching process! My wife and I started taking lessons from her before our wedding (we didnt want to look foolish during our first dance), and we ended up learning so much more than we ever expected.

Lina has a talent for explaining the dance steps in a way that is easily understood, and she will adapt her teaching methods to accommodate her students different styles of learning. While some instructors may allow improper technique to go uncorrected, Lina will show you what youre doing wrong and help you appreciate the difference. Additionally, she will push her students to the edge of their abilities in a positive way so that they want to improve and learn more. Her competence, professionalism, and patience are endless.

Weve been fortunate enough to enjoy learning Latin, ballroom, and swing dancing from her over the years, and we plan to continue learning more!

Oh, and our first dance at our wedding? Nailed it!

She clearly explains each move and demonstrates it so you you know how it suppose to look. The final routine is always easy to remember when social dancing. She’s the best!

My overall goal in dancing: To be at an intermediate dance level in a variety of dances. To be able to confidently lead in those dances at a social level.

My progress: Has obviously moved positively towards my goal.

Ellina has a well rounded strong experience in the dance styles I am currently progressing with. The styles I have been working with her on are waltz, foxtrot, tango, rumba, cha cha, salsa, east coast swing, and hustle. I have observed Ellina on how she is constantly working with each of her students even in group and social settings. Ellina has been encouraging me to attend more social dance sessions. The nice part of this is when she is at those events, she makes an effort to bring me on the dance floor and dance with her. This helps reassure what we have been working on and to help build my confidence in asking another lady to dance on the next song. It has been encouraging to hear my dancing partners in the different group and social events to compliment my frame and their desire to want to dance with me. Overall I am pleased with the teaching Ellina has provided to me.
