About

I just returned from competing in the Rio Olympics, and while I am taking a competitive break from the sport, I would love to give back to the sport and help young swimmers learn how to swim as well as take their current skills to a whole new level!

I've been involved in swimming my entire life. I've been competitively swimming for over 15 years. But I've also been teaching and coaching since my early college days. I've taught toddlers, preschoolers, high school swimmers, and I've also worked with college athletes. I have done backyard lessons, and have worked as a swimming instructor in Macedonia to kids of all ages. I have also coached for a summer lake team in north New Jersey. Most of my volunteer work that I have done in the last couple of years consists of giving swimming lessons to kids with special needs. In other words, when it comes to the swimming world, if you can name it, I've done it. As a coach, I am detail oriented and I believe that working on focusing on proper technique early on is very important for a competitive swimmer. As an instructor on the other hand, I like to focus on water safety first, and then teach the fundamentals of each stroke. Thanks to swimming I've been able to graduate college, compete at the national level and represent my country at the Olympics. Besides my passion for swimming I also want to give back to the community that has always supported me. I plan on achieving this by sharing my extensive knowledge and skills about swimming.
