What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start each student at the beginning so that I am sure they have the framework for swimming in excellence.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a leadership degree, a communications degree and a teaching certificate as well as being certified by the Red Cross and a SCA.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The lessons are $40 for a half an hour of private instruction. You can bring in to members of the same family and still only pay the $40 fee.
How did you get started teaching?
I moved into a home in Seattle Washington with a swimming pool and my friends all brought their children to me and I started teaching them to swim and found that I loved it.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types from infants to older adults. I work well with the special-needs population.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had a student during quarantine send me a video singing and dancing how much she loved me and missed me.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
First, hire me. LOL second, find someone who is truly passionate about what they do. Then you will love it too.
