Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Virtually through zoom or on property!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been cooking since I was 6 years old. Both my grandmas were chefs. And I manged an Outback Steakhouse for 2 years working my way up. As well a managing a Seafood house for a year. Becoming a Private Chef is a dream come true and I look forward to passing down years of knowledge in the industry.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes a Private session is only $80-120 per person for an 1 hr class depending on the ingredients needed. Group events vary in price based on the number and during the summer months will be held outdoors.
How did you get started teaching?
Being a mother of beautiful 9yo daughter I saw a need. I feel in order to have a successful future the next generation has to be prepared, and it's our jobs as parents to teach them. So I said it starts with me. Good food takes time to build so does a good chef, so if you have no patience to wait on who you will become, you probably won't have good food either because they both take time to stew! Preparation and presentation matter...and so does Representation. I want to show other little black children they can do anything with the proper dedication!
What types of students have you worked with?
I love working with children but all are welcome.
