Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We want the student to be comfortable. Having fun is just as important as training. Fun, of course, also comes from being successful which is a feeling that we strive to provide for every student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our teachers have many wonderful credentials from degrees in dance, teaching, and health promotion. Many have certications in Progressive Ballet Technique, the American Ballet Academy, fitness trading, and Aerial Arts.
Together we can boast many years of performing and teaching experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We have a flat rate pro-rated over 9 payments. The fee depends on the length of the class. We offer a Track option which reduces the fee by taking multiple classes.
How did you get started teaching?
I began dancing very young. After training to teach for many years, I knew I wanted to provide a higher level of dance education to students. I opened my school in 1993 and I'm still teaching. I now have the best most professional staff that supports me and our school.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages 2 to adult. Students who want lessons just for fun to those who who audition for our competition team.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Just last weekend our team traveled to a competition. Such a fun event. The students performed beautifully and were very successful. I love to watch the parents while their children perform!ealed
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Meet the teacher and ask for a tour of the school. A student must feel comfortable.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your goals? Can this facility and teacher provide that? Observe other students. Are they friendly to each other?
