    Frequently asked questions

All lessons begin with a consult to determine your unique needs, expectations, and goals. Together, we will determine a schedule and plan that will maximize your experience.

Spanning over 30 years, I have been fortunate to have in-depth training in ballet, pointe, and partnering with the Atlantic Contemporary Ballet Theatre and many other notable dance institutions. I have also received detailed training in jazz, modern, contemporary, ethnic, strength and conditioning, flexibility, musical theatre, tap and much more! This summer, I received certification in the world renowned Progressing Ballet Technique.

Master Class rates are determined based on class length and style.

Choreography rates are based upon number of rehearsals, number of performances, and size of the group/cast.

While performing with the Atlantic City Ballet, I took on the role of rehearsal director for their satelite Nutcracker casts of children. It was my responisbility to teach and clean the company's choreography. This brought with it opportunitites to teach master classes and teach as a guest artist. Upon moving to Fort Bragg, I took on work at a small studio to begin teaching all ages. From their, I taught in studios and schools along the East Coast. I've attended college courses, training sessions, self-lead study, and certification courses to improve my knowledge and provide students with the most comprehensive education possible.

I've been fortunate to work with people of as young as 3 and as old as 98. Many of my students have gone on to professional dance careers, toured nationally/internationally with Broadway productions, become choreographers and teachers, and have brought their dance education into other fields of work. I've helped couples have the dance of their dreams on their big day and helped people to meet desired physical goals. I've helped members of the special needs communtiy find new communication and joy. I also have created and operate the New Glory dance program for the elderly and those living with dementia.

There is so much variety in my day to day with dance education. Each person I have the opportunity to share my love of dance with is so very unique and important to me.

Not all dance teachers and experiences are the same. Each of us bring with us years of different experiences and education. While it can be confusing and difficult to navigate your way through dance, the right dance teacher will take all of your unique needs and expectation into consideration. Choose the person that listens to you and takes the time to explain/show you the safest way to move forward. A teacher should be uplifting.

When considering adding dance into your life you should be able to answer the following questions for yourself.

1.) Am I healthy enough to begin a physical activity?

2.) Why am I chosing dance?

3.) What do I want to get out of dance lessons?

4.) What are my current abilities?

5.) What could keep me from reaching my goals?

Each person has their own unique needs based upon the their goals. The questions above are start.
