About

I started stidying karate when I was 15 and fell in love with the arts; I developed my teaching skills when I founded a martial arts club in college. After co-running a dojo with a partner for 7 years in Nutley, I went out and opened the Asian Arts Center in 1998 in West Orange. Today, the dojo is located in Caldwell.

I hold a 7th degree in Goju-ryu karate, am the U.S. Branch Director for the Goju-ryu International Karate Kobudo Federation from Okinawa.

Established in 1988 the Asian Arts Center offers wonderful programs for kids, teenagers and adults. All classes are taught by Sensei Tran. New students are welcome to attend a FREE class!
