Hi there! I am a bubbly and passionate teacher. I hold my BFA in Acting from Otterbein University. I also studied abroad in London. I specialize in audition coaching as I interned with Tara Rubin Casting and have a great understanding of the professional theatre and audition scene in NYC!
I really love helping people dive deep into the material and see what treasures it unlocks. I love working on voice and breath connection and helping people feel confident!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I use the beginnigng of our lesson to get to know the student and to help the student feel comfortable. With acting class, we will start with games and improv exercises to break the ice. If the student is a little older or we are doing a coaching for an audition, we will keep the warm up short and I will teach important warm up skills for the voice, breath, and body.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts Graduate in 2010 in Drama. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Otterbein University with my BFA in Acting and a dance minor. I studied Shakespeare and the Classics in London through CCSA. I also was a professional dance teacher for ages 3-12 for about 6 years in KY. I interned at Tara Rubin Casting winter of 2015!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
1 Hour Lessons are $40
How did you get started teaching?
I have taught all through college and really specialize in working with children.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with ages 3-15 mostly. I would love to work with High School and College students as well who need to prep audition material!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently saw the play , Indecent, and found it to be a stunnign work of art. I have been telling everyone to go see it! I could talk about it forever.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you are not enticed by a low price. Legit coachings in NYC cost anywhere fro $50-$150 an hour. Legitimate teachers will have a plan and training and will guide you safely to great work! Never stay with a teacher who is too method. If they are asking you to do something painful or to draw from a painful emotional life, you should leave.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Try to be clear and honest with your goals. Are you taking the class to gain self conidence? To book a role? To find your voice? To just play? All of these are great, but being honest and clear about your goals helps the teacher cater the class structure to your needs.
